Solitaire is one of the most played computer games of all time, and for good reason: the rules take a minute to learn, a game takes a few minutes to play, and there is always a better move to find. Our card games keep the classic rules and add the comforts you would expect: tap a card to move it to the best spot, drag stacks where you want them, and undo as often as you like.

Which solitaire to play

• Klondike Solitaire: the classic. Build four piles from Ace to King, drawing one or three cards at a time.
• Spider Solitaire: two decks and ten columns. Build full runs from King to Ace. Choose one, two or four suits.
• FreeCell: every card is face up and four free cells give you room to plan. Almost every deal can be won.
• Pyramid Solitaire: remove pairs that add up to 13 to clear the pyramid.
• TriPeaks Solitaire: clear three peaks by playing cards one higher or lower than the pile. Build long streaks.
• Golf Solitaire: clear seven open columns, one rank up or down at a time, with as few cards left as possible.

Tips that work in every solitaire

1. Uncover hidden cards first. Face-down cards are what block you. A move that reveals one is usually the best move.
2. Keep options open. When two moves are possible, pick the one that leaves more moves afterwards.
3. Use empty spaces carefully. An empty column or free cell is your most valuable resource. Do not fill it without a plan.
4. Undo and learn. When a game goes wrong, step back and try the other branch. That is how you get better fast.
